Hey everyone! I’m back again this week for another WWW Wednesday. If you missed my last update, click here.
WWW Wednesday is a weekly meme created by Taking on a World of Words, where you answer the following three questions:
- What are you currently reading?
- What have you recently finished?
- What are you reading next?
Things to Do Before the End of the World by Emily Barr
I just started this today for a blog tour post I have due tomorrow! It’s got a very interesting and unique premise so I think I’m going to enjoy it!
Seeking Whom He May Devour by Fred Vargas
I featured this last week and unfortunately did not get any progress on it since then. I’ve got a few other books I need to finish before I can get to this one but hopefully soon!
Cemetery Boys by Aiden Thomas
I started this as a book club read a few months ago and I super failed at keeping up with everyone else. I don’t even remember why I stopped reading it because I was enjoying it quite a lot.
I think I’m about halfway through right now. I’ve switched from reading the physical to listening to the audiobook so that I can get some work done at the same time.
Shadow and Bone by Leigh Bardugo
Everyone on Twitter has been talking about this series and so my partner and I caved and started listening to it on audiobook. I don’t know how long it will take us to get through the series since we’re listening to it together but we’re hoping to finish these books and watch the adaptation sometime soon!
In the past week I’ve finished:
Among the Beasts & Briars by Ashley Poston
My partner and both finished this last week and enjoyed it quite a bit! I found the ending to be underwhelming as I felt it left way too many questions unanswered for me.
I’m still a huge fan of Ashley Poston’s writing and this book kept me engaged throughout.
Sun of a Beach by Mia Sosa
A few months ago, my partner (Rob) discovered that he has had audible premium pro this entire time and neither one of us knew 🤦🏽♀️. I decided to binge a few audiobooks on April 30th while I did some work and this was what I started with. It was very cute but the plot kind of revolves around insta-love which is a bit weird since it’s also a hate-to-love.
In a Holidaze by Christina Lauren
This was on my TBR for a while and I have no idea how I didn’t know this book was about a time-loop.
I found it funny, cute, and entertaining, despite its outlandish plot. I knew what was going to happen because it’s a classic predictable type of romance but I enjoyed it very much overall.
I didn’t read any of the books I listed as reading next last week so I’m just going to put them here again and everyone can just pretend this is the first time seeing this collection.
Do you see any books you’ve read or want to read? Let me know in the comments!
